xStocks — Tokenized Stocks by Backed and Kraken

xStocks are tokenized stocks issued by Backed Finance in partnership with Kraken. Each xStock token tracks the price of a real US stock on-chain. The token symbol is the stock ticker with an "x" suffix (e.g., TSLAx = tokenized Tesla). Auto buys, sells, and sets limit orders for 119 xStock tokens across Ethereum, Solana, and Arbitrum.

How Do xStock Token Symbols Work?

Each xStock maps one-to-one to a US equity. The "x" suffix distinguishes xStocks from Ondo tokens (which use "on").

How to Set Limit Orders for xStocks

Auto places limit orders through chain-native protocols. On Ethereum, orders route through CoW Protocol for MEV protection. On Solana, orders use Jupiter Trigger.

How to Check xStock Prices and Run Analysis

Auto retrieves live xStock prices and runs technical analysis using the underlying stock's real market data.

For technical analysis, Auto uses the underlying stock ticker (TSLA, not TSLAx) since the analysis runs on real stock data. This differs from price queries, which use the token symbol.

Important Notes

• New-gen tokens only. Older "bTSLA" style tokens are deprecated. Auto uses the modern "x" suffix tokens exclusively.

• Best fills during US market hours (9:30 AM – 4 PM ET). Outside hours, spreads widen significantly.

• CowSwap requires WETH not native ETH. If selling ETH for stocks, Auto wraps it automatically.

• Not available to US persons officially, though secondary market trading is permissionless.
